KID ADRIFT - Kid Adrift is the musical moniker of 21-year-old named Iain Campbell from Clackmannanshire, central Scotland. A bedroom music creation melding the glitchy electronic sounds of the Aphex Twin with the shuddering grandeur of Muse or other space-facing progressive pop penchants. Live Campbell becomes the guitarist and vocalist in a four piece band - a shuddering proposition if a recent BBC session is anything to go by. After a huge buzz and the championing of everyone from radio 1 to the a significant proportion of the music press, Island are releasing a hugely anticipated debut single in June, and this sees a single launch gig for a very exciting new artist.
