Comprising three lead singers, four-part vocal harmonies, a lead trumpet and a rhythm guitar, a French-horn playing drummer, the evocative sound of the Fender rhodes and the quack of the melodica.
The band play ambient grooves and surprising textures wrap around songs with loving care.
This gig includes a set of playing over silent films by Maya Deren; two films by Faulty Optic (puppet theatre company from West Yorkshire); and four short films made around 1900 by the Bamforth Company.
Surprise support band / guests tba.
The band is: Hugh Nankivell (piano, accordion, viola), Pat Allison (bass guitar, clarinet, singing), Chris Dowding (trumpet, flugelhorn, swanee whistle), Ben McCabe (drumset, french horn, guitar).
