Headliners for the Da Doo It's ALIVE! #3 on Sat 5th June are:-

SHRAG - on stage at 10.45pm

http://www.myspace.com/shrag

SHRAG (Sussex Heights Roving Arts Group) are a FANTASTIC Brighton / London-based quintet (featuring 2 gals & 3 fellas) who purvey a gloriously ramshackle riot (grrrl) of Fall-inflected shouty Slits / Au Pairs inspired skewered art pop. Their track 'Hopelessly Wasted' was featured on the zeitgeist-nailing various artist compilation 'Rough Trade Shops: Indie Pop 09'.

Shrag's recent 45 'Rabbit Kids' received critical accolades and much radio airplay including support from BBC Radio 2's Radcliffe & Maconie and ex-Fall bass ace Marc Riley on BBC 6 Radio. The much anticipated second album 'LIFE! DEATH! PRIZES!' is due for release later this year.

Ryan from The CRIBS is a big SHRAG groupie and his patronage has secured the band prestigious support slots on two CRIBS UK tours. The band have also supported the notable likes of The Pains of Being Pure At Heart, Art Brut, Comet Gain, The Raincoats, The Television Personalities, The Thermals, Stephen Malkmus and the Jicks, Adam Green, The 1990s and the Crystal Stilts.

This is only their second Brighton show in the last year so come & check out 'em out!

Support MARIANNE HYATT (Country Dirt) - on stage 9.30pm

“She is triumphant live; the men love her because they are Pavlovian, the women love her because she makes them feel like Calamity Jane”

The lead singer of alt. country (sic) outfit Country Dirt MARIANNE HYATT is performing a special solo set. Taking cues from Patsy Cline her heartfelt tales of 'whisky and wry' are spellbinding, her searing sincerity and vocal stridency truly breath-taking. Ensure you arrive in plenty of time to catch her performance.

“The sound of melodrama and mystery” – Kerrang!
