In 2011, ten years after its birth, Acoustic Ladyland will reincarnate into a band with the same people but a new name.

To commemorate this era's end, we will be playing a series of gigs in December at The Vortex in London, performing each of our four albums on consecutive nights, with the original personnel from each album and special guests. These gigs will feature Tom Cawley, Tom Herbert, Alice Grant, Coco Electrik, Ruth Goller, Chris Sharkey, Seb Rochford and Pete Wareham.

So if you want to hear Acoustic Ladyland live again, this is your last chance, as we won't be playing those songs any more after 2010!

We will also be selling off lots of rare merchandise which is sitting in my attic - posters, vinyl, remixes, live EPs, T-shirts etc.

Talking Sages

Talking Sages are a unique group of improvisers brought together by trumpet player and composer Pete Horsfall. Two of London's finest freestyling (improvising) rappers Bill Zoot and Twinky Blu stand alongside the exciting talents of bassist Ruth Goller (Acoustic Ladyland), pianist Dave O'Brien (F-ire Collective) as well up-and-coming drummer Mike Clowes and saxophonist Dave Shulman.

Bringing two traditions of improvisation together, the sound of Talking Sages bears the influence of Steve Coleman, Erick Sermon, Robert Mitchell, J Dilla and MF DOOM equally. Expect stream-of-consciousness freestyle rap interlocked with deep and heavy grooves.
