MAN WITHOUT COUNTRY
One of the most hotly tipped bands in Wales right now, Man Without Country have had strong radio support from the likes of Steve Lamacq, Huw Stephens and Bethan Elfyn. They recently recorded a Maida Vale session and are due to appear on the BBC Introducing stage at Glastonbury. The tastemakers at Truck Festival also have them booked to play this year so we were delighted when they agreed to act as hometown hosts for our brilliant Truck night.

DUSTY AND THE DREAMING SPIRES (members of Danny and the Champions of the World/Goldrush)
Oxford's Dusty & The Dreaming Spires evolved from the much-missed Goldrush in early 2009. Consisting of the Truck Festival founding Bennett brothers Robin (aka Dusty) and Joe, with Growler and Mike, Dusty & The Dreaming Spires create a music that fuses the warmth and energy of west-coast America with the spirit and heritage of their home town. Influences like The Byrds, Tom Petty, Wilco, Big Star, Teenage Fanclub and The Beatles infuse their psychedelic power pop charm.

COMMON PRAYER (members of Hopewell/Mercury Rev)
In a small town just south of Oxford in the United Kingdom, Brooklyn songwriter Jason Russo (of Hopewell/ex-Mercury Rev fame) and a constituency of british pop talent hauled several half-tuned guitars, myriad scraps of rusty metal and a piano with a knee-high flood watermark into a cow barn to record an album which would come to be known as Common Prayer. Off key and quirky the album entitled, ‘There Is A Mountain’ will be released in the UK/EU on July 19th. Get it a whole day early at this blinding gig!

DEER PARK
Blending the ramshackle confessionals of Okkervil River and Bright Eyes, the energy and infectious melodies of The Hold Steady, the noisy indie rock punk clatter of The Thermals and the downtrodden, steel guitar laced americana of Richmond Fontaine, Deer Park are one of our favourite finds of 2010. Their debut album was mastered by Billy Stull (Okkervil River, Midlake, Centro-matic) and features members of The Oxygen Ponies and Woodpigeon (End Of The Road Records). The beautifully packaged artwork was done by Sub Pop's Jesse Le Doux (Modest Mouse, Iron and Wine, The Shins, Elliott Smith etc).

Acoustic acts in the beer garden for that mini festival vibe, Gathered In Song DJ's and more tbc. Watch this space!
