Writer and performer of comic songs, best known for his collaborative work with Monty Python, and for playing in the Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah Band and later The Rutles. From I’m the Urban Spaceman to his role as ‘the seventh Python’ Neil has provided songs with smiles since the mid sixties and has been a significant part of popular culture, that part of popular culture that has a smirk on its face anyway
