Oxjam Guildford Takeover

Event information

This year Oxjam Guildford's Takeover is an exciting Music festival running all day and night on Saturday 23rd October.

It starts off with a street festival in Guildford High Street in the mid-morning, then in the afternoon the focus will slowly be shifting towards a 'crawl' of the Takeover Venues (in and around the High St) in the evening.

We have 5 surrounding Venues as hosts to the Oxjam Music Festival, each one boasting its own genre of music, being played by the very best of local talented Musicians.

The Venues are:
the Star - Rock / Heavy Rock/ Metal : from 5pm
Fahrenheit 55 - Acoustic / Roots / World : from 2pm
the Royal Oak - Folk/ Folk Rock : from 2pm
Slug & Lettuce - DJ's/ Dance : from 6pm
the Tup - Alt/ Indie / Rock : form 2:30pm

The Oxjam Takeover is a ticketed event and wristbands will be needed to gain access to all areas and stages.

All ticket proceeds form the Oxjam Guildford Festival will go to Oxfam: who work with others to fight poverty through out the world.

Oxjam is National Multi venue music festival in October. Oxjam is a community fundraising part of Oxfam. Since Oxjam's established in 2006, more than 36,000 musicians have played to over 750,000 people at around 3,000 Oxjam events nationwide. Oxjam has raised more than £1.2 million in total for Oxfam: enough to buy 10,619 emergency shelters, 48,000 goats and 705 classrooms.
