Festival Pier, Waterloo, will be the load-on point for the first ever Des Was a Bowie Fan clubnight on the Pride of London, a 200-capacity, two-floor ship that sails the Thames till 1am at the hands of Captain Steve. Indiepop, new wave, post-punk, Northern Soul and rock'n'roll on the high tide.

We will rev up the dancefloor earlier so it's at its peak from 10pm onwards. Drinks are at pub prices at the bar.

Please be ready to board at Festival Pier, just outside the South Bank Centre, at 8.40pm. Drop off points can be requested across the journey, and the final stop when the dancefloor is done at 1am will be Waterloo, back where it started.

You can tell your kids you puked up overboard to Common People at midnight.
