Every year, we commission an illustrator to work with us to develop artwork for our festival. We're thrilled to be working with Nick Rhodes for Kenilworth Arts Festival 2018. Nick runs Switchopen Studio, which was established in 2004, and offers a unique service of Illustration, Graphic Design and Print. We’ve been fans of Nick’s work for years – particularly his work with End Of The Road Festival and the posters he’s produced for bands such as John Grant and Explosions In The Sky. You’ll find his art on our website, as well as on the posters, programmes and other promotional materials that we’ll be printing in the coming months.

Tree houses are a big theme of Nick's work. In October, as part of Inktober, Nick illustrated 31 individual tree houses. This became a book, Havens, which is available on his website (www.switchopen.com). A tree house is also a central feature of our artwork this year.

We're delighted that Nick will be running a workshop on the art of drawing tree houses as part of our festival.
