Event Information

For two years running in 2018/19, Outland’s Sunset Neon Cruise has been an unforgettable and SOLD-OUT experience. Hit the dance floor, or chill out on the deck while we traverse the neon-soaked waterways of London's Thames River and City skyline enjoying the best Retrowave & Synthwave vibes on offer.

The global pandemic prevented 2020’s instalment which was postponed to 2021. As the UK navigates out of lockdown restrictions, the Outland team are confident that the cruise will go ahead on 26 June 2021, albeit it without the headliners initially announced - Quixotic and Morgan Willis are unable to appear due to continued self-isolation and quarantine measures put in place for anyone travelling from outside the UK.

Joining us for an all-UK DJ line-up is London’s finest and returning performer SUNGLASSES KID, along with super smooth L’AVENUE and prolific synthwave DJ MAX SPEED. There will be a ton of artist merch on sale along with the best releases from the Outland Recordings stable of roster artists.

Please Note:
• Existing government guidance allows for nightclub events to resume by the 21st June and unless this changes, this event will go ahead. In the event that there is a delay to this date, the Outland Sunset Cruise will be cancelled and refunds will be issued.
• The Outland team takes everyone’s safety seriously. We are advised on all relevant guidelines and entrance procedures necessary by both the Government and the vessel operators, London Party Boats. 18h45: Arrive promptly for boarding from Festival Pier, opposite the Royal Festival Hall.
19h00: Vessel departs pier
22h45: Vessel returns to Festival Pier
23h00: Everyone disembarks – no after party, but we’re happy if you wish to plan your own.

About the artists:

Sunglasses Kid returns for a THIRD TIME with a mix of vocal driven pop and romantic electronic instrumentals, influenced by the movies and fashion of the late 80s and early 90s. Expect a generous dose of Sunglasses Kid tunes thrown into the mix. Be sure to hit the dance floor when this guy starts spinning!
Also onboard is the rising star of smooth synth sounds L’Avenue. How could any synthwave boat cruise be complete without the sounds from his smash hit debut EP Cherry Crush? Or the phenomenal sounding album Into The Night? And hot off the heels of the new EP Lemon Crush, we think you’ll be sipping cocktails on the deck with L’Avenue after his set.
DJ Max Speed has attended almost every Outland event, and his support of the label’s releases on his weekly radio show on Artefaktor means this guys is serious about presenting good synthwave. A former resident DJ at Sentinel in Manchester, Max is sure to get everyone moving with his mix.
And finally, as always, Outland present a special introduction mix of the all the classic Retrowave and Synthwave to get you in the mood for the extreme synth talent which will follow.
