CREATIVE CONNECTIONS ART SCHOOL

Event Information

Suitable for 11 - 16 year olds, this free three day course is supported as part of Creative Connections Southampton and is a great opportunity to develop creative skills in an enjoyable way - perfect for the holidays!

Wed 2nd Aug: Sharpen your Skills
Sharpen those pencils for a day of drawing and sketchbooking skills inspired by the artwork on display. This day is perfect for budding artists hoping to add to their sketchbooks and develop their skills.

Thu 3rd Aug: Mixed Media, Collage and Creativity
Explore the artwork on display and create mixed media responses. This relaxing session is a great opportunity to focus on your composition skills, combining colours, shapes and patterns to create something new.

Fri 4th Aug: Drawing from life
A fantastic opportunity to develop your drawing skills working from life. We’ll begin by experimenting drawing different objects with different drawing materials before portrait drawing from a portrait model in the afternoon.

Each day will run from 10am – 3pm and parents and friends are welcome to join us for a sharing of work from 2.45pm.

Young People are welcome to attend as many of the three dates as they like. These workshops are free but due to high demand for these sessions we ask that you pay a £10 fully refundable deposit to secure your child's place. This deposit will be refunded in full upon attendance. If you can't attend and can give us five working days notice we will also be able to refund your deposit. CANCELLATIONS In the unlikely event that we cancel a session, we will offer a full refund. Unfortunately tickets are otherwise non-refundable. Please contact us if you wish to transfer your ticket to a friend if you cannot attend for any reason.
