Following the fantastic launch of our Friday Night Jazz series at the Atrium Bar and Restaurant, we’re delighted to present the next event in the programme, right in the heart of Russell Square.
This week we welcome Jackson Mathod, a British trumpeter, composer, and vocalist who has become one of the most exciting new voices on the UK jazz scene. Known for his versatile and genre-blending sound, Jackson’s performances bring together influences of jazz, funk, soul, R&B, and hip-hop, creating a fresh and vibrant energy that captivates audiences.
A respected session musician, Jackson has worked with leading artists including Stormzy and Jordan Rakei, while his own music has received strong support from BBC Radio 6 Music, BBC 1Xtra, Jazz FM, Jamie Cullum, and Gilles Peterson. As a bandleader, he leads with charisma and creativity, delivering shows that are as uplifting as they are musically rich.
He’ll be joined by an outstanding rhythm section featuring Dave Manington (bass), Soner Ersen (piano), and Tristan Mailliot (drums), making this a perfect evening for jazz lovers and newcomers alike.
Come and enjoy world-class live music in a relaxed setting, with delicious food, a full bar, and warm hospitality at the President Hotel.
Tickets are £10 – available online or on the door, but please note that space is limited.
