Harry Bird, “The Travelling Folkster”, is an internationally acclaimed singer songwriter, a modern day troubadour with a knack for storytelling, “genius songwriting” (RnR Magazine, UK) and a voice that has captivated audiences all over Europe and beyond.
Drawing on British folk, Americana and other world music genres, his multilingual performances are a freewheeling cabaret of finely crafted songs, captivating vocals and good humour.
2026 sees the release of his fifth studio album on Hot Drop Records, following 2023's "Mucho Picnic" and three LPs with Bilbao and Dublin based collective the Rubber Wellies.
His lyrically charged compositions have featured on stage and on screen, most recently in the award winning Irish horror film "Oddity" directed by Damian Mc Carthy. He has written the soundtracks to four touring circus shows in the Basque Country (performing in two), sung on audiobooks for Penguin and appeared regularly as a multi-instrumental actor/musician at the Bristol Old Vic theatre.
Original, entertaining and thought provoking, his energetic, feel-good shows are not to be missed.
“Songwriting genius… Simply magnificent” – RnR magazine (UK)
“Fresh and entertaining as few others” – Mondo Sonoro magazine (Spain)
"Pay attention for folk’s sake" - Pure Mzine (Ireland)
