Delighted to announce we’re hosting the experimental sonic artists Haress and Carausias Arise! on Thurs 9th April at Common Ground for a beautiful bill with our pal Ibs' debut primitive guitar show as Codiad Y Mor!

Haress are an acclaimed Shropshire collective whose dark, traditional and magically cosmic sounds can be traced back to folk, post-rock, ambient and the more literate, gently arcane fringes of indie rock from deep within Rural Britain. They’ve released 3 astonishing albums and we’ve been meaning to bring them to Oxford for a while!

Carausias Arise! is the latest sonic ritual from Ceredigion-based obscurant Dafydd Roberts, sometimes known for his eerie alchemical-drone and hermetic sound experiments. Gnawing at the margins of UK underground since the early ’90s with releases via Camera Obscura, Oggum, Earworm, Ochre Records, Plate Lunch and his own Listen to the Voice of Fire imprint - this is such an intriguing set, we can’t wait!
