Event Information

As part of the 38th anniversary year of The London Int'l Ska Festival...

We are truly delighted to announce, due to phenomenal demand a second Dixie Queen Thames cruise, part of The London Int’l Ska Festival 2026 will sail on Saturday 4th April 2026 (1pm-5pm).

The cruise sails under the banner of 'Rock Steady 60' and celebrates the 60th anniversary year of rock steady, with some true legends of the era - Keith & Tex and Roy Panton & Yvonne Harrison. Plus your host DJ for the afternoon, London’s very own - Oxman (Soho radio / Soul Jazz sound system / Dub Vendor). And more to be announced, all onboard the beautiful Dixie Queen paddle steamer! They even open Tower Bridge for us!

World renowned Jamaican rocksteady duo, Keith & Tex aka Keith Rowe and Phillip "Tex" Dixon, rose to fame with producer Derrick Harriott in the late 1960s, when they recorded timeless examples of rocksteady - Stop That Train, Tonight, Don’t Look Back, and Hypnotizing Eyes, to name just a few. Shockingly they only made their debut UK in 2014, but what an unforgettable show it was... at The London Int’l Ska Festival onboard the very same paddle steamer! The sold-out crowd rose the roof. Don’t miss this opportunity to see their return!

Whether it be as a duo or solo artists Roy Panton & Yvonne Harrison are true ska and rocksteady pioneers, who appeared on the 1964 classic This Is Ska film alongside; Prince Buster, Toots & The Maytals, Jimmy Cliff, Stranger Cole, Monty Morris and Byron Lee & The Dragonaires, with Yvonne being the only female artist on the bill. Having recorded for Studio One, Duke Reid, Rio, Caribou, Island, Caltone, Blue Beat and many other classic Jamaican labels, they were there at the start of ska music and helped establish the rock steady era with bonafide classic tracks - Roy’s sublime Endless Memory and Yvonne’s Near To You which she recorded with The Skatalites’ Tommy McCook.

All four singers are making exclusive and ultra-rare UK performances! Don’t miss this rare opportunity to see these legends on a truly beautiful and unique venue while sailing the Thames!

Please more to be announced!

This unique venue sails the Thames and takes in London’s sights from it’s oldest vantage point. They even open Tower Bridge for us! We hope you’ll be able to join us for this truly once in a lifetime events!
