For a few years, we've had Prostate Cancer UK's information cards available in the gents’ loo (and occasionally in the women’s). They disappear quickly, and John, the local rep for the charity keeps us supplied with replacements. He suggested running a benefit gig here so we're delighted to host this night, which we hope will raise loads of funds for this great charity.
Missin' Tackle Shanty Crew
A popular, seven-member sea shanty group from Brixham, known for singing traditional shanties and sea songs at harbor events, festivals and fundraisers, often at the Old Fish Market or Brixham Theatre. They perform traditional shanties, often with risqué lyrics, capturing the joy of performance and maritime life.
Gustav Bensel Hot Club
Evoking Django Reinhardt's Paris and pre-revolution Bessarabia, the Gustav Bensel Hot Club plays a mix of gypsy jazz and Klezmer by candle light, featuring Andy Williamson on sax, Steve Dow on guitar and Tom Deam on violin.
