Event Information
The Mandolinquents are an illustrious, witty and virtuosic collective playing everything from beautiful folk ballads to Carolan, Vivaldi, hot-swing fiddle, tangos and rags… and a comic ditty or two! Well known, and loved, in Newbury from their regular performances at New Greenham and then Arlington Arts. More recently they played to a near capacity at ACE Space.
The band can take the form of quartet, quintet or sextet. For this gig the line-up ill be Simon Mayor (mandolin, violin, guitar, vocals); Hillary James (vocals, mandobass, guitar); Richard Colins (mandolin, banjo, guitar, vocals); Gerald Garcia (classical guitar).
