We’ve loved Shovel Dance Collective since they emerged on the scene and live they are something else - truly astonishing to be in the room with as the nine of them bring together an overly moving beast of folk music - politically and beautifully charged! Their music appears as a patchwork as pieces are stitched together, rearranged and recontextualised. The yarn is threaded with their sense of aesthetic innovation, and with a deep sense of the ways in which traditional music holds the voices of the oppressed and those who, by their labour, create the wealth of the world.

Opening up is Laughing Lamb - the wonderful solo project from Pete Smith (best known as the free-flowing drummer and vocalist in Lucy Leave)
