Peter Buxton is an accomplished jazz-blues musician and songwriter, known for his expressive playing style and a natural connection with audiences.
Having performed extensively across the UK and Europe at festivals, wine bars, lounges, and private events, he blends laid back jazz sophistication with deep passionate blues.
He writes about places and feelings and spent his early life in the Peak District.
Left the North for University in London and Sussex for 30 years, and the last 5 years by the sea in West Dorset. His inspirations as a 60s teenager were the Who, the Beatles and Clapton, later Jackson Brown, Ezio, Bonamassa, BB King and Ry Cooder.
These monthly sessions are curated by local bassist, Mary Caffrey. If you'd like to be considered for a spot on one of these nights, either on the main bill, or in the open mic session at the beginning of the evening, please email mary.caffrey49@gmail.com
