Event Information

Françoise Pascal became known as the British equivalent of Brigitte Bardot.

Born on the Island of Mauritius, she was educated in Paris and in London.
This icon of showbiz made numerous stage, television and movie appearances, including "There's a Girl in My Soup" (1970) with Peter Sellers.

Hollywood movie star Kirk Douglas spotted her at the White Elephant restaurant in Mayfair, where she was having lunch with her partner, stage and film actor Richard Johnson and offered her the lead in his new movie 'Skallawag'. She turned the part down to star in the now-classic cult movie 'Iron Rose' (1973).

She broke into television in 1971 with 'Coronation Street' playing Ray Langton's friend.
Numerous guest star roles followed, including Rex Harrison in Don Quixote, Lee Remick in Tennessee Williams' "Summer & Smoke", and Terry & June, as well as "Giants & Ogres" for Granada.

Her most well-known TV role was in 'Mind Your Language' (1977), in which she starred for 3 years, and which is currently being repeated.

She went to the USA in 1982 where she acted in Hollywood with a two year contract in "The Young & The Restless, Gavillan, My Man Adam, Lightning, the White Stallion (1986), she received rave reviews as Rosalind in 'As you Like It' and in 1985 her performance as Olivia in the Hollywood Theatre production of 'Twelfth Night'.

Tonight's intimate evening with Francoise Pascal will reveal some of her amazing life and career, plus a sprinkling of songs. This will be an evening to remember. Not to be missed!!
