Event Information

A fantastic Friday night with The Balkan Wanderers, an inspired traditional Balkan, Gypsy and Klezmer and contemporary world punk-ska band!

Inspired by Balkan artists, and world ska/punk pioneers (Šaban Bajramovi? / Barcelona Gipsy balKan Orchestra/ Xazzar, Mano Negra/ Golem/ Gogol Bordello/ Dubioza kolektiv), the Oxford-based 6-piece mix East-meets-West musical styles with high-octane renditions of traditional Eastern European folk, creating high-energy live shows and records. They've received radio play on BBC6 Music (Tom Robinson), and performed numerous shows, parties and festivals including Boomtown, Common People Oxford, Hoomstock (Croatia), Cornbury. The band went on hiatus in 2018, reforming in 2022 with a mix of new and original members.

Jamboree food option: Our ‘Zer’ kitchen is open from 5pm serving delicious Middle Eastern fusion food for you to enjoy a pre-gig meal/snack if you wish!
