Delighted to welcome the UK's leading cartographer to Filey Literature Festival.Christopher Goddard’s beautiful book is a hand-drawn guide to walkingthe 201-mile Yorkshire Coast Path, exploring the county's varied coastlinefrom the Tees to the Humber.The book covers the high cliffs of Cleveland and North Yorkshire, as wellas the crumbling shore of the East Riding and the flatlands of the Humberestuary, showcasing the wonderfully varied scenery of the county’s longcoastline. Starting on the River Tees in Middlesbrough and finishing at theRiver Ouse in Goole, most of this route now forms part of the newlyopened England Coast Path. The hand-drawn maps also provide plenty ofopportunities for creating short circular walks and for exploring thecliffs, beaches and foreshore of the area.Over twenty suggested circular routes are included, all accessible bypublic transport, taking in sections of the coastline while also venturinginland.
