Two hearts. One fate. A timeless love reborn.
The Duke’s Theatre Company presents Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, a bold reimagining of the iconic tragedy directed by Joseph Pitcher. This vibrant production features original music by award-winning composer Rob Millett, whose previous commissions include Ballet Rambert, the National Theatre, and Shakespeare’s Globe. Blending dynamic staging, evocative sound, and the enduring power of Shakespeare’s verse, this retelling illuminates the passion, peril, and youthful intensity at the play’s core, inviting audiences to rediscover the world’s most famous star-crossed lovers.
Audience Advisory: The production contains themes and depictions of war, death, suicide and violence, which may be distressing for some viewers. Viewer discretion is advised, and it is recommended for ticket holders aged seven and above.
Public car parks and on street parking are available close to the venue.
Limited disabled parking spaces available on site outside Bude Castle.
Cafe Limelight at The Castle closes at 5pm. Other caterers will be on site from 5pm.
Bring some cash for the raffle to support a local good cause.
Tickets also available (cash/cards) via Bude T.I.C.
Tickets also available (cash only) via Bude shops:
