Wood is Britain's Greenest festival - The 3rd annual WOOD festival will take place on May 21st/22nd/23rd 2010 at Braziers Park, Oxford. As well as celebrating great music it also celebrates nature. From the folks that brought you TRUCK festival.

The event runs entirely on renewable energy and aims to highlight green issues and through participation promote an ecologically friendly lifestyle, with composting toilets, showers heated by wood-burning stove and a solar-powered stage. You can even spend your time dancing into the night in a bicycle powered 'discotheque'.

There will be opportunities for everyone (from children to grandparents!) to participate. With workshops including singing, woodcraft, yoga to making wallets from orange juice cartons, and a fashion dress parade – with plenty of opportunities to learn more and join in our lively lunchtime discussions and talks.

Workshops will run from 11am - 1pm & 3pm - 5pm both Saturday and Sunday. Classes confirmed so far include; Feltmaking, a knitting circle including a crochet workshop, printmaking, harmony singing, circus skills, salsa, drama for kids & adults, tai chi, poetry workshop and a poetry slam, musical munchkins, making musical instruments from junk, making wallets from tetrapacks, songwriting, thatching, pole lathing demonstrations, cycle repair, maypole dancing, african drumming, african dancing, jewelry making, pilates, pre school singing, a children's tent, costume & mask making, a performance by local morris dancers & much more TBC.
