Ingrid Rodebjer and Cori Smith met in Sweden while studying Swedish folk music together. Blending Scandinavian and English traditions, their arrangements of tunes both old and new live in the edges where their traditions meet. With Ingrid visiting England to perform alongside Cori, their spiralling, trance-like melodies evolve into electrifying, groove-driven music. They invite the audience on a musical journey from the sky-hung, bleak Yorkshire moors, to the slow-breathing forests, and long summer light of Sweden.
Nat Philipps and Phoebe Harty conjure deep sonic oceans in which the rich voices of the cello and the tenor saxophone become whale cries, intertwining and dancing through traditional tunes and original compositions with warmth, power and sensitivity.
