Event Information

Thrilled to be co-hosting this show with A Cellarful of Noise, where we’ll be welcoming Vancouver’s jangle pop trio WUT in London! It’s the first time they’ll be playing shows this side of the pond - and for their London debut we’ll be celebrating with a wonderful Sunday evening show with post punk indie poppers Sassyhiya and minimalist indie punks Gay Skeleton Club!

WUT are three friends from Vancouver (Kaity, Tracey and Lauren) who have been crafting their own special blend of jangle pop, cuddle-core and twee, making a local name for themselves with their joyfully heartfelt live performances. Being in love with craft and the handmade, they love to create - and have together released a cassette, a full length record, and 12 homemade music videos. Their latest record Mingling with the Thorns is a collection of carefully crafted pop songs that reflects the bands mutual love for c86 jangle pop and early flying nun bands.

Sassyhiya are a wonderful mixture of Television and The Sundays - the sweet spot between post-punk and indie pop. They know their way around a melody but still keep it wonky. Their influences range from the Breeders and Broadcast to The Go Betweens and Dolly Parton. Essential for fans of wonky riffs and irresistible melodies that’ll get stuck in your head for the rest of your life.

Gay Skeleton Club are a pop/punk/indie DIY band from London. "Catchy" "funny" and "political" are how friends and fans have described our songs - we love making music that you can dance/laugh/yell to, about things that make us angry (fascism! transphobia! the planet getting screwed!) and things we love (DIY music! skeletons! cats!)

FYI this gig is 18+ the venue room is down a flight of stairs.
