Dartmoor Strings: Young Performers’ Platform

Event Information

This string orchestra for 10-18 year olds from all over the South West, is performing string orchestral pieces such as the lively "Hoedown" by Copland and the Dance variations called "La Folia"written by Corelli.

Various chamber groups will play pieces including Mozart sonatas, a string quartet by Juan Crisóstomo Arriaga, a jazz trio for three violins and piano by Izabella Effenberg and Johann Pachelbel's famous Canon.
