We learned yesterday that due to a family emergency, The two Spanish guitarists, Quique Bonal and Kid Carlos are unable to be with us this evening. As you probably know, this show is part of our monthly series, Not Only But Also The Blues. The organiser, Mary Caffrey has been working hard last night and this morning to put together an alternative lineup for tonight – and it's a good one – please see below.

Gareth Hedges, guitar and vocals
Gareth is well known for blues, jazz and bluegrass. Gareth travelled the Mississippi Delta to the Tennesee hills in the 1970s playing with American Greats Doc Watson, Peter Rowan, Bill Munroe and Gary Davis.

Mike Ellis (vocals) with Terry Wilcocks on guitar, Mary Caffrey on bass and Bill Birks on drums. Mike fronts the busy local rock band Bail Jumpers, but his real love is singing the blues
followed by the regular Blues jam session.

Quique Bonal and Kid Carlos
Based in Seville, in southern Spain, this masterful guitar duo is making a short tour of south west England. Expect swing, ragtime and modern rock, passing through bluegrass, jazz, bebop and of course the blues. They aim to demonstrate and bring appreciation of the richness and variety of music they love. Both have worked with the legendary record producer Mike Vernon https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mike_Vernon_(record_producer), who produced many well known British artists of the 60s, 70s and 80s including Eric Clapton, David Bowie, Fleetwood Mac and Ten Years After, who says of them: “The two guitarists lock in together as if one whilst the crisp solo work is not only creative and emotive but is a delicious surprise”
