Connor Selby is widely regarded as one of the most distinctive and compelling voices in contemporary British blues. Rooted deeply in tradition yet unmistakably modern in approach, his soulful vocal delivery and expressive, nuanced guitar work carry a rare emotional honesty that resonates far beyond the genre’s boundaries.
In 2024, Selby featured on Mark Knopfler’s charity single Going Home (Theme From Local Hero) alongside an extraordinary line-up of legendary artists. He has shared stages with The Who at Wembley Stadium, appeared at London’s Hyde Park Festival with Pearl Jam and Stereophonics, and toured with celebrated performers including Beth Hart, Robert Cray and Joanne Shaw Taylor, steadily building an international reputation as a formidable live artist.
His self-titled 2023 debut, named MOJO Magazine Blues Album of the Year, marked a breakthrough moment, earning widespread critical acclaim, strong radio support and millions of streams worldwide. A three-time UK Blues Awards “Young Artist of the Year” (2020–2022) and recipient of the 2025 “Traditional Blues Artist of the Year” award, Selby continues to evolve with each release — equally at home as a commanding bandleader, a refined guitar stylist, or an introspective troubadour. At the heart of it all lies a deep commitment to authenticity, storytelling and the enduring power of the blues.
