Event Information

What’s happening with climate and nature, and what does it mean for everyday life in the UK?

INFORMED IS FOREARMED ...
Join us to find out at a free community screening of the People’s Emergency Briefing. This new 45-minute, eye-opening film brings together nine leading UK scientists and experts with the latest evidence and insights - along with credible, positive responses - into why it matters; across issues including ...
🌧️ Extreme weather
🍞 Food security
🏥 Health
💷 Cost of living

It presents the national implications of climate and nature breakdown in a single, accessible, non-partisan account, helping audiences process the information on a more human level. And will deliver the frank facts about the threats, but also the enormous benefits to our economy, resilience and quality of life, if Government leads genuine emergency action.

JOIN A NATIONAL MOVEMENT ...
The screening forms part of a wider UK programme of events designed to help communities engage with the climate and nature crisis.

It is based on the November '25 National Emergency Briefing in Westminster (featured by ITV, Channel 4 and The Times), with appearances from naturalist Chris Packham, Deborah Meaden and a range of voices from across the UK.

Said Packham: "I’d encourage people everywhere to attend a screening of The People’s Emergency Briefing. This new film creates exactly the kind of honest local conversation we now urgently need, both about the threat from climate and nature breakdown, but also about what we can do, together with our politicians, to build a better future.”

HAVE YOUR SAY ...
After the film there will be a 45-minute, open discussion about what it means for our community and what we can do locally to support, including encouraging local MPs to back the Parliamentary Call for a televised emergency briefing on the climate and nature crisis.

PRESENTED BY ...
Due for release on 7th April, this is a new film from the National Emergency Briefing - a public information initiative to ensure the UK is fully briefed on the climate and nature crisis.

This community screening is presented by PEB Haringey: a collective of local community and activism groups including Muswell Hill Sustainability Group, Haringey Climate Action and Muswell Hill Climate Action.

LIMITED TICKETS ...
The film is ONLY available at in-person screenings, not online. Tickets are free, but limited, so be sure to book and inform WeGotTickets in advance if you can no longer attend, please.
