Event information
The duo Los Suplentes, Emiliano Faryna and Hugo Satorre, began their journey in 2017 with a milonga-inspired repertoire featuring their own arrangements. Their goal is to recreate the characteristic sound of 1940s orchestras, adapting it to the bandoneon and guitar duo format.
The essence of the duo lies in their spontaneous arrangements, devoid of sheet music, which lends freshness to each performance. They play in the middle of the dance floor, inviting the audience to dance around them. In every performance, Los Suplentes transform the milonga into an intimate celebration, captivating the milonga crowd from the very first note.
They have made their mark on the most prominent milongas of the Buenos Aires tango scene and have taken their art to more than fifteen European countries, with over 400 concerts and six successful international tours. With extensive experience and awards, including a Latin Grammy nomination and the Carlos Gardel Award, Emiliano and Hugo continue touring the world with their Argentine music, bringing tango to every dance floor.
The musicians will be in the middle of the floor, while the dance happens all around them.
The live music will be from 2 – 3.15pm, and there will be traditionally DJ'd tango music for the rest of the afternoon.
Dance space downstairs and seated listening space up in the gallery.
