Booked artists for Music in the Dell:

Plumhall

Music in the Dell is proud to present our headline act Plumhall: “A superduo with a wealth of talent and a real sense of passion and attack” Fatea Magazine

Plumhall (Michelle Plum & Nick B Hall) are an acclaimed UK songwriting duo celebrated for their rich vocal harmonies and dynamic blend of acoustic and electric textures. Their three studio albums have earned strong critical praise, with the most recent, One Star Awake (2024), featuring Ric Sanders (Fairport Convention) and Eliza Marshall (Ranagri).

The duo have toured extensively with Fairport Convention, performed internationally, and returned to Cropredy in 2025 with a powerful full-band set. They have also shared stages with Al Stewart and written music for the film The Runaways. From alt-country roots to adventurous folk-rock, Plumhall continue to captivate audiences - and in 2026 they are currently writing their fourth studio album.

Hamish Currie

Originally from the east coast of Scotland, his repertoire is now taken from the traditions on both sides of the border, laced with some original and contemporary material. "Hamish Currie was immediately able to gain our full attention with his informative relaxed introductions and his skilled vocals and guitar. His ability to enter into a wide range of fine material and draw us in was masterful, and his choice of material sensitive and thoughtful." Frankie Armstrong

Sue Graves

Often referred to as the "Surrey Nightingale", Sue has the knack of choosing songs that just "click" with the audience, accompanying herself on guitar, tenor guitar and ukulele. Following her sell-out album launch in Twickenham earlier this year, we are delighted to welcome Sue back to Music in the Dell.

Kath Tait

"Songs of social realism with humour"
Singer/songwriter Kath Tait is originally from New Zealand and now lives in London. An entertaining and original performer of poignant songs with a comic twist and an off-beat slant, Kath says: “All of the songs have short and unusual introductions in which I reveal a lot of personal information, some of which may not be true. I’ve had a lot of fun doing this act over the years and my favourite gigs are in the backrooms of pubs to an audience of seven.”

Steve & Sue Billington with Alan Courtney

Alan and Steve have sung and played together for more than 50 years (with Sue singing along when she finds the right key and likes the song!) Expect proper folk (Alan) and other random stuff we all love (Beatles, Sandy Denny etc.)

Chiltern Echoes

The Chiltern Echoes are a versatile collective of five musicians, blending country, Americana, and folk styles. For Music in the Dell 2026 we have Crystal on vocals, Mark Walker on mandolin and bass uke and Thomas Woodward on guitars, preforming a variety of covers in their unique style.

Callum Granger

Raw, powerful, and heartfelt, Callum’s storytelling songs span fingerstyle ballads to stomping Americana. Winner of the 2025 Watford Folk Club songwriting competition, with his song “Flower Seller”, inspired by a news story about a conscripted Ukranian soldier, Callum is a rising voice on the folk scene with a debut album on the way.

Jess Green

Jess Green is an award-winning performance poet and writer. She began to garner a following in 2013 with her viral poem, “Dear Mr Gove” and since then has performed at Glastonbury, Latitude, Bestival and BBC 6 Music Festival as well as poetry events around the UK. She has featured on BBC 6 Music, E4, BBC5Live, ITV and BBC Breakfast as well as in The Guardian, Huffington Post, The Independent and The Spectator.

Dave Artus

Dave Artus (guitar/vocal) is originally from Bingley in Yorkshire, now living in West London. Dave has always admired singer-songwriters such as Al Stewart and Richard Thompson. Dave writes songs that tell stories of people and places that might otherwise be forgotten. He participates in local folk club activities and plays a mix of his own songs and those by his heroes.

Suzanne Chawner & Gill Norris

Suzanne is a singer/songwriter whose debut album On Primrose Hill was released on the Round Tower label in 1995. Gill is passionate about folk song and the oral tradition. Suzanne and Gill have sung and performed together for over ten years, both in a quartet and now as a duo.

Graeme Morrell

Graeme Morrell (guitar/vocal) lives in the Yorkshire town of Ilkley. He has always enjoyed the fingerstyle guitarists such as Ralph McTell and Michael Chapman, and is fine exponent of Michael’s music. He also has a great deal of fun playing classic songs in the covers band Time Warp. In addition, Graeme is a prolific song-writer. His set will draw on all those sources.

Augusta Lees

A mixture of traditional favourites and songs from modern folk songwriters, with the odd classical crossover thrown in too. Some a cappella singing, others accompanied with her newly acquired harmonium.

Loam County Ramblers

Loam County Ramblers play songs from the country rock canon and write songs about frozen wildernesses, set to a Latin beat. Confused? You will be! (LCR are: Phil Budden (guitars), Wilf Weston (keyboard/vocals), Doug Gray (bass) and Suzanne Chawner (guitar and vocals)
