This TWO HOUR singing workshop is hosted by Irish singer Chan Reid and will explore techniques used to sing “sean nos” (old style) Irish songs in the English language. Two English language songs will be taught by ear (words provided) looking at techniques to develop the distinct Irish “voice rolls” used in Irish unaccompanied singing. Chan will also explore solo singing techniques to develop phrasing, pitch, pace, voice placement and build confidence in singing a song without using any instruments other than the voice.
