Picky New Promotions are excited to welcome Nottingham's finest BORED MARSH to The Big Difference on Sat Jun 20.

Bored Marsh are widely tipped as one of Nottingham's most exciting emerging bands. Formed through lockdown demo-sharing, their name nods to a derelict local shopping centre and a wider sense of stagnation caused by austerity-era funding cuts. Sonically, they blend reverb-heavy atmospheres, soaring vocal and guitar harmonies, and darker, heavier movements, drawing from post-punk, grunge, shoegaze, and new wave, with touchstones including Interpol, Radiohead and Editors.

Since beginning to perform live in late 2022, Bored Marsh have quickly built momentum, earning praise from Under The Radar, BBC Radio, Louder Than War, and God Is In The TV. Their debut single The Grind gained unexpected national exposure via Made in Chelsea, while standout shows at Rough Trade Nottingham, major festivals, and sold-out support slots have cemented their reputation. With festival appearances at FOCUS Wales and Dot to Dot, high-profile hometown shows, and more new material on the way, Bored Marsh are firmly established as a band on the rise.
