Event information

LAURA LEXX - Comedian, writer and actor Laura Lexx is vivacious, impassioned, intelligent and one of the best MCs/Headliners in comedy. Born and bred in the home county of Somerset, Laura’s comfy demeanour, warmth and energy delightfully juxtapose her biting wit, brutal honesty and viral audience take downs. She is a comedy expert both on and off the stage and her passion for the genre has inspired a generation of loyal comedy lovers who follow her every move.
After Live at The Apollo (BBC) Laura received an unprecedented reaction from the live crowd and audiences at home, which lead to her appearing in shows such as Mock The Week (BBC), Hypothetical (Dave), RoastBattle (Comedy Central), Pointless Celebrities (BBC) and Celebrity Mastermind (BBC) to name a few, and her highly successful debut tour, Slinky won the Best Show award at the 2024 Women in Comedy Festival.
Laura boasts a series of highly-polished and critically acclaimed stand up shows on ITVX, is the published author of fan fiction Klopp Actually and Pivot her debut novel. Laura is an in-demand writer on shows such as Have I got News For You (BBC), The Now Show (BBC R4) and The Really REALLY Rude Puppet Show (Dave).
Adding even more strings to her bow, Laura is the creator of multiple podcast formats, her current being Lexx Education where, taught by her scientist younger brother, Laura tries to get her head around the school science syllabus with hilarious results!

MARK SILCOX - Ex-scientist and part-time teacher, Silcox is known for his experimental, deadpan style of anti-humour.. If you were to meet him you would immediately realise that you were in the presence of a masterful academic, but someone who struggles with the subtleties of human connections and everyday life.
Mark made it to the finals of the BBC New Comedy Awards 2013 and was one of several Asian comedians to be featured on BBC’S, The Big Asian Stand-Up. He has also appeared on Romesh: Comedians in Pubs Talking Comedy on BBC Three, An Immigrants guide to Britain on Channel 4 and Sick of It alongside Karl Pilkington on Sky1, amongst others. Mark is mainly known for his starring role as Joe Lycett’s side kick on channel 4’s consumer rights comedy show, Joe Lycett’s Got Your Back, with a clip of him challenging Burger King on their motto "Have it your way" going viral and prompting a response from Burger King themselves. He has also appeared in season 2 of Prime’s Last One Laughing.
