An evening of experimental electronic music in the warmth and magic of By Our Hands We Make Our Way with:
MARIA UZOR
Formerly one half of revered punk-funk duo Sink Ya Teeth, Norwich-based artist Maria Uzor released her debut solo album, Soft Cuts, on Castles in Space in 2023. Showcasing Maria’s eclectic taste - from UK Garage to Siouxsie and the Banshees, dubstep to disco - Soft Cuts mixes electro, avant-pop, techno and dub to create an infectious, expansive, groove-based world of sound. Hypnotic vocals weave together with cosmic, kaleidoscopic beats - defiant, joyful, experimental. Maria has collaborated with A Certain Ratio, !!! and Acid Klaus. A mesmerising performer, she has played at festivals including Supernormal, Manchester Psych Fest, Nox Orae (Switzerland) and The Great Escape.
“Soft Cuts has dub, electro, acid, EBM, dreampop, postpunk and trip-hop in its production genes; its spontaneous feel gives the sense of full artistic realisation.” The Quietus

POLYPORES
Polypores is the work of prolific Preston-based electronic musician Stephen James Buckley. Polypores paints music with a modular synthesizer, drawing influence from ambient, new age and experimental electronics. A riveting artist and performer, Polypores channels the weird and wonderful energies that make up his fractal musical universe - his music soars, bubbles, crackles and soothes, in ever-shifting, immersive cosmic landscapes. His latest album, Wrigglers – just released on Crackedankles Records – is another jubilant and absorbing tapestry of melody and chaos. Warm, woozy, unpredictable, bright, optimistic – downright awesome.
