As His Majesty nears the end of his reign, he reflects—dramatically, and with no small amount of theatrical flair—on the great imperial heartbreak: the loss of America.
Beginning at St Michael’s Church, audiences will embark on a winding journey through Southampton’s Old Town, encountering a lively cast of characters who shaped (and occasionally bungled) the story of a nation. Expect surprise appearances from monarchs and revolutionaries, pilgrims and princesses, merchants and—brace yourself—spies. Yes, spies.
