Event information
Built on a shared love of story, harmony, and connection, Adam Thom and Alma present a joint tour rooted in contemporary folk and Americana.
The pairing creates a warm live experience that brings together narrative songwriting and rich vocal harmony, ideally suited to venues with audiences for songwriter-led music in the vein of Laura Marling, Joni Mitchell, The Staves, and Jason Isbell.
Alma is a Glasgow-based folk trio comprising of singer-songwriters Anna Cassidy, Ellyn Oliver and Marina Rolink. The three came together over their love of lush harmonies and songwriting at the end of 2024 and their first live set together resulted in a Danny Kyle award at Celtic Connections 2025. This was the beginning of a successful year and saw the release of their debut single ‘Magpie’ which earned them a feature interview on BBC Radio Scotland, multiple radio plays and regular gigs around Scotland. Their second single 'Float' saw radio play on BBC Introducing and Roddy Hart's Mix Tape on BBC Radio Scotland in the lead up to its release, and further BBC radio play on its release on Jan 20th 2026. Taking inspiration from the likes of Joni Mitchell, Laura Marling and The Staves, the trio seek to create songs that are warm, honest, and thoughtful. This is all reflected in the root origin of their name, ‘Alma’, which means soul, heart and spirit.
Adam Thom is a 24 year old singer-songwriter, originating from Aberdeen and now based in Glasgow. His intricate, story-driven lyrics are rooted in folk and Americana traditions, and take audiences on an emotive journey with his skilled songwriting.
Adam released his highly anticipated second EP - ‘Through the Candle Smoke and Burning Sage’ - last December, hailed as “an absolute winner” by Americana UK that “put him at the very forefront of the UK’s bluegrass scene”. With recent sold-out shows at The Glad Cafe and Cottier’s Theatre (for Celtic Connections), Adam presents an intimate, well-crafted live performance; not one to be missed.
The evening is a co-headline show, with both acts performing a full set. Expect a night that is intimate and song-focused, suited to seated or attentive standing audiences.
