Dateline is the musical project of Katie Everingham. Since forming in 2017, the band has taken on many forms, but its trajectory has only continued upward following Everingham’s move to Te Whanganui-a-Tara/Wellington, NZ, and the release of the band’s second critically acclaimed album It’s All Downhill from Here. The album, written and performed alongside some of Wellington’s most exciting musical talent, cemented Dateline as one of the city’s standout acts.

Since then, Dateline has been a finalist for the Silver Scroll Award, sold out shows across Aotearoa, and toured the UK and Europe in support of Kiwi favourites The Beths. Everingham continues to write and create with fervour, showcasing her vulnerable yet astute storytelling, paired with irresistible hooks and a raw, dynamic energy.

Dateline’s live shows are an unforgettable blend of humour, emotion and undeniable charisma. Simply put, they’re not to be missed.

Main support comes from Zara Smile. Zara Smile, an emerging queer alternative rock artist, makes music that refuses to sit still. Manchester-based, Smile weaves raw, unfiltered storytelling through explosive guitars, restless rhythms and moments of unexpected tenderness, creating a sound that is as intimate as it is unapologetic. Pulling from the chaos of Riot Grrrl, the sharpness of indie rock and the expansive weirdness of the alternative scene, Smile intertwines vulnerability, storytelling and frustration to explore love, identity, growing up and everything that refuses to stay neatly resolved. Their songs feel like a whispered confession one second and a full-volume release the next. Zara Smile is carving out a world of their own: messy, honest, loud and impossible to box in.

Opening the show is Bonniesongs. Bonniesongs is the moniker of Irish-born, Australian-based multi-instrumentalist, songwriter and producer Bonnie Stewart. Blending ethereal vocals, detuned guitars and atmospheric textures, she creates a distinctive form of ‘ethereal grunge’ that draws from art-folk, dream pop, psychedelia, grunge and experimental rock. Since her 2019 debut Energetic Mind, Bonniesongs has released two albums, most recently Strangest Feeling in 2025 via Impressed Recordings, and toured alongside artists including Fink, Nick Mulvey, The Beths, Joan As Police Woman, Gordi and Sorcha Richardson. Alongside her solo work, Bonnie is active across Sydney’s independent and experimental music scene, performing with several projects and collaborating internationally. With new music due towards the end of 2026 and further material planned for 2027, Bonniesongs continues to evolve a sound that is intimate, visceral, hypnotic and entirely her own.
