Event information

Tobias Thompson
Guitars
I’ve been playing guitar for over 35 years, but my journey started with the violin in the county orchestra. Everything changed the day I heard Comfortably Numb—I walked out, bought my first Strat, then came Jeff Beck's Guitar Shop ... and I never looked back.

I studied music in college, and seeing Pink Floyd live in 1990 cemented my decision to pursue music wholeheartedly. Since then, I’ve taught guitar, recorded, and performed extensively, always pushing myself to grow as a musician. I play Fender, Peavey, and Music Man guitars, constantly seeking the perfect tone to bring my passion to life on stage.

This is what I was meant to do, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Emma Kelsey
Vocals
Emma started her career studying ballet & modern and won a place at the prestigious Performing Arts College “Doreen Bird” for 3 yrs.

Emma’s worked ever since- initially as a dancer on Cruise Ships & contracts abroad, then became a Vocalist. Her versatility has enabled Emma to sing a variety of genres and styles, from performing as a soloist & as an Abba girl in Tributes to Abba & backing vocals for Tributes to Elvis & Pink Floyd in Theatres throughout the UK and Touring internationally.

Emma’s really enjoying the Jeff Beck experience -

I can see why he was referred to as “ guitarist’s guitarist”, utterly brilliant !!

Simon Wright
Bass and Vocals
I’ve been a working live and session musician for over 40 years, with music always at the centre of my life. Along the way, I became a music producer and, for the past decade, an established voice artist, narrating books for Audible, ACX, and Podium Audio.

I’ve been a lifelong, avid fan of Jeff Beck—a love that’s inspired much of my creative journey. Back in the early eighties, I played trumpet in brass bands, but things got serious, and my path evolved into something bigger. Playing anything with strings has been my main thing, and providing the bass in JBE is, without doubt, the most enjoyable aspect to date!

Music and storytelling have shaped my life, and they continue to drive everything I do.

Ben Topley
Keyboards and vocals
I’ve been playing and producing music of all kinds for over 30 years, growing up on a steady diet of Pink Floyd and progressive rock that deeply influenced my style. While I play drums, guitar, and bass in The Jeff Beck Experience, I focus on keyboards.

I studied Film and Performing Arts at college, which helped shape my creative approach. These days, I also teach Yoga and Tai Chi, blending movement and mindfulness into my life alongside music.

I currently use a Roland Fantom, a vintage Korg CX3 (1978), and a Kawai 100f to craft our unique sound.

Dan Guest
Drums and Percussion
Born in the 1980s in Wolverhampton, drummer Dan Guest grew up on an eclectic mixture of Elvis Presley, Roxy Music, Sting, The Cure, Classic Rock & 90’s Grunge. A now Oxfordshire-based session drummer, percussionist, composer, producer and private tutor, Dan's rhythmic journey has led to him performing, touring and recording with a host of artists and bands, including: The Bay City Rollers, Alvin Stardust, Paolo Nutini, Empires Decline, Angie Brown, 35 Seconds, Hyper Hyper Girl Lover & Miranda Dickinson, as well as performing with many other original, function and tribute bands. Touring around the globe, Dan has provided solid foundations for a varied line-up of ensembles. Not only does Dan intimately understand his craft - studying extensively throughout school, college and university - but he is also passionate about inspiring the next generation of awesome drummers and percussionists, leading acclaimed drum workshops, clinics and lessons since 2002.
