AL Swainger's Pointless Beauty

June’s event sees the return of Al Swainger’s Pointless Beauty as part of their 2026 summer tour, performing a mix of old and new compositions from the forthcoming ‘Impure Imagination’ album. Al Swainger is a bassist and composer who, in his own words, “doesn’t just create music, he reimagines it.” With Pointless Beauty, he crafts an ever-shifting soundscape where jazz, electronica and ambient textures crash together in unexpected ways, familiar yet utterly new. Performing alongside Al at Jazz on the Green will be Jon Clark on Drums, Martin Jenkins on Keyboards and Kevin Figes of Tenor Sax and Flute.
