Rob Luft, recently crowned ‘Instrumentalist of the Year' at the 2025 Parliamentary Jazz Awards, is undeniably one of the most exciting jazz guitarists in Europe of his generation. Hailing from London, this award-winning virtuoso has garnered consistent comparisons to legends such as Bill Frisell, John McLaughlin & Pat Metheny.
His highly-anticipated follow up album, "Dahab Days“, showcased continuous artistic growth and musical exploration. Released on Edition Records in October 2023, the album marked another significant milestone in his career. Around this time, Luft's selection as a BBC New Generation Artist culminated with him being commissioned to compose a guitar concerto for performance at the 2023 London Jazz Festival with the BBC Symphony Orchestra.
Recent collaborations with John Surman, Manu Katché & Elina Duni on the legendary German record label ECM Records have further solidified his reputation and expanded his reach throughout continental Europe.
Niklas Lukassen displays an equally astonishing lyrical sensibility and skillful command on the upright bass, the bass guitar and his unique bass cello.
Having lived in New York for several years, he today resides between London and Berlin. Described as “a versatile bass virtuoso” by Jazzwise magazine, Niklas continues to establish himself as a significant presence within the young European jazz scene.
Mentored by Ron Carter, he received his Masters Degree from Manhattan School of Music on a full scholarship. Currently he is pursuing a doctoral degree at the Royal Academy of Music in London.
Immersed in contrasting musical worlds, Niklas has accompanied performances with artists such as Kurt Rosenwinkel, Joe Lovano, Mike Stern, Jorge Rossy, Norma Winstone. Niklas has toured extensively throughout Europe, the UK, North America, Asia and North Africa.
His debut album as a bandleader, "Still Waters Run Deep“, was released on Heartcore Records in February 2026.
Berlin-born drummer and composer Finn Seemann has been studying at the Jazz Institut Berlin since 2021. During an exchange period at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London from 2024–25, he received guidance from internationally acclaimed musicians James Maddren and Nikki Iles, further deepening his artistic development. Active in both the Berlin and London jazz scenes, Finn has led his own quintet project since 2022 performing all around Germany. He has previously shared the stage with musicians such as Jonas Westergaard, Uli Kempendorff, Rudi Mahall and Jiggs Whigham.
