After a fifteen year hiatus, Proxy Music are back with their conceptual art-rock schtick - a little more jaded and creaky but sounding all the better for it, and still absolutely immersed in decadent retrofuturist 1973 glamour.

Thogdin Ripley: Bryan Ferry
Heidi Heelz: bass and vox
Charley Fucking Stone: guitar
Nick Carlisle: synth wizard
Oliver Whawell: sax and oboe
Percy Mackay: drums and original Roxy Music DNA

Is it an art project? Is it a tribute band? Who cares! It's the most fun any self-respecting Roxy afficionado can have with their clothes on...

Support comes from THE PINK DIAMOND REVUE
“ Trying to describe them is like trying to explain a dream after three days without sleep, somewhere between 1950s rock ’n’ roll, acid house, synth‑punk, and some late‑night broadcast from a different dimension. They’ve built a sound that’s totally their own, even if nobody can agree what planet it came from.
Imagine vintage blues smashing into relentless electronic grooves, fuzz‑drenched guitars welded to metronomic beats, a fever dream where the future dances with the past and nobody remembers who started the music. And then there’s the stage show, Tim Lane prowling like Bowie in one of his unpredictable moods, beside the silent, unblinking ACiD DoL, blurring the line between flesh and machine in a hypnotic, slightly unsettling dance.”

and NICK CARLISLE
Nick has been active on the DIY scene over the last twenty years, with bands such as Peepholes and Bamboo (Upset The Rhythm). Currently bringing his synth and Mellotron livescore to the silent movie Haxan around the UK, he has also made three solo albums of songs in the last few years, including new album "The Mad Decades" which he'll be performing selections from with his band.
