The Middle People are a transcontinental art-pop and electronic-dance project formed by UK musician Mikey Georgeson and Portuguese visual artist António Olaio. Their music is a blend of catchy, warm electronic pop, surrealist lyrics, and avant-garde theatricality, heavily tied together by their multidisciplinary, "arty" backgrounds. 
Their sound has been described as "the pleasurable sound of the abyss in a haunted bluetooth headset". They use quirky lyrics alongside vintage-leaning synths, drum machines, and bright melodies.
