Event information

LINDA MOYLAN is an Irish born, London raised folk singer-songwriter with a voice that can spiral from earthy to angelic in an instant and delivers the moving and relatable narratives of her songs with an enchanting Irish troubadour twist. Her voice switches effortlessly between the sultry, the bluesy, the smoky and the unbelievably sweet – sometimes during the same song. Linda’s third album, ‘The Fool’, released in 2024, is a definitive, mature and self-assured piece of work that completes Linda’s transition from gifted singer to fully-fledged and unique musical artist. On the live stage, Linda and her band, guitarist Ian Montague and fiddle player Rebecca Mileham, are simply immaculate, providing a rich and atmospheric journey that sees them delivering stunning tunes that demonstrate Linda’s power both as a writer and performer. With a warm, humorous, charismatic stage presence Linda and her band will sweep you up, take you along for the ride and deliver you gently back to earth, fully satisfied, at the conclusion.

WICKENWOOD are an indie-folk trio hailing from Hemel Hempstead, not that you’d know that from their songwriting: Their passion for history and folklore takes them all around the country, drawing songwriting inspiration from the people, tales and legends of the places they visit. Their fascinating, well-crafted songs are sung with respect and compassion, all in their own unique style, with great vocals and wonderful harmonies abounding Featuring well established duo Phil and Deb Marshall, with fiddle player Mags Layton, they are a deservedly popular act on the folk circuit. Listening to Phil’s excellent guitar and mandolin playing combined with Deb’s percussion and Mags’ sensitive fiddle, makes for a fantastic way to spend an evening. Add to this their obvious love of the music and of performing, and their irrepressible sense of fun, they engender a spirited, joyful atmosphere wherever they take the stage.
