Expect an evening of gruesome research, Victorian crime, and unusual murders!

Jody Cooksley's Victorian Gothic crime, The Small Museum, won The Caledonia Novel Award and was shortlisted for the HWA Gold Crown in 2025, with its sequel, The Surgeon's House, published earlier this year.

Jody offers writing workshops and talks on Gothic and the endurance of the genre in the context of dystopian societies and human monsters, with her most popular talks on Dark Tales: the Rise of Gothic in the age of AI, and Human Monsters: Crime and Desire.
