Event information
Join us for this fabulous concert as Cleeve Village Hall teams up with Holy Trinity Church to put on a fundraising night of live music in this beautiful, atmospheric setting.
Beloved British songwriter Martin Stephenson, best known for his work with his band The Daintees, returns to Cleeve to play at this new venue.
Renowned for his warm charm and poetic storytelling, Stephenson has spent decades crafting songs that move effortlessly between folk, jazz, country, pop and rock 'n' roll. From the jangling brilliance of his debut album ‘Boat To Bolivia’ to a rich catalogue spanning over 40 years, his music continues to captivate audiences with its honesty, wit and heart.
In this intimate setting, expect renditions of classic favourites alongside hidden gems, delivered with the humour and spontaneity that makes every performance by this artist unique.
We are thrilled to announce that joining Martin as a special guest will be Brightlingsea based singer songwriter Stephen Foster-Pilkington. Earlier this year they played together on the Golden Hinde in London, delivering such a memorable show which even included a musical walkabout the ship so expect the unexpected at Holy Trinity Church!
Stephen's musical journey spans decades.:the violin, his first instrument, kindled his love for classical music and then came 1977 and he fell in love with the rebellious energy of Punk. Since those days, Stephen has made records in his own right and written jingles for radio and TV.He has also thoroughly enjoyed collaborating with musicians he very much loves and admires including Martin Stephenson.
