Sonic Masala launches its third matinee show at The Carousel Sunday September 13, this time headlined by the drone/psych/folk wizards from Cambridge, Fuzzy Lights!
Fuzzy Lights make intense, heavy, sounds that join the dots between the primal drone of Sunn O))) and the diaphanous melodicism of Shirley Collins. Last year's album Fen Creatures is, from the band's perspective, "kind of a heavy folk take on the connections between English folklore and contemporary environmental concerns. Maybe a psychogeographic trek through the Fens with only Liege & Lief and the 1st Sabbath album for company." Anything linked to psychogeography has me hooked, and these guys are no different - this is going to be a spellbinding (but still raucous) show!
