RETURN OF THE RAG!
The Cowley Rag’s fundraiser is back for another legendary night of music and art-making, this time at The Nest; come to craft, dance and celebrate the bad art that makes our community so special.
If you don’t know us yet, the Cowley Rag is a local arts zine that has been running since 2023 thanks to the support of inclusive music space YWMP and the East Oxford community. Since we’ve started, our submissions have included poetry, illustration, photography, prose, collage, digital design and more.
Ragfest helps us cover the costs of making more lovely zines for you all and keeps every instalment absolutely free, while bringing together Oxford-based acts to highlight our neighbourhood’s thriving live performance scene.
Going from 4pm til 11pm, we’ve got a killer line-up of bands and DJs for anyone with the urge to boogie, headlined by the incredible Aftercare: stadium rock for the stadium shy from the bowels of the Oxford music scene.
If you’ve got something chill in mind, we’ll also have spaces for face-gems, tarot readings and collaging (who knows, maybe you’ll want to submit your creations to the next issue…).
As with last Ragfest, we’ll also be sharing the proceeds with YWMP for generously supporting the Rag’s production and providing us with a printing space to put it all together.
NO ONE TURNED AWAY FOR LACK OF FUNDS.
