Asterix are one of the most exciting new bands to emerge from Oxford's DIY scene, blending grunge, alternative rock and experimental noise into a raw, atmospheric sound. Their powerful live performances have quickly earned them attention locally, recently supporting Real Farmer at The Bullingdon. With fuzzy riffs, brooding melodies and plenty of intensity, Asterix are a band firmly on the rise.

Jumping in at the last moment to replace Third House, who are unfortunately unable to play, is Matt Philip Hale! Matt opened our second day at Strummerfest ’26, and we’re delighted that he’s agreed to come back and join us at The Tap once again. A huge thanks to Matt for stepping in at such short notice — come down and give him a warm welcome!
